Shamim Walusimbi is a distinguished HR leader in Uganda, recognized as a strategic talent acquisition expert, global recruitment consultant, and a passionate advocate for career development, inclusion, and professional growth. With over nine years of experience in talent strategy, employer branding, recruitment across sectors like energy, banking, telecom, and healthcare, she has held key leadership roles including serving as the immediate past Vice President of the Human Resource Managers' Association of Uganda (HRMAU), where she drove policy reforms such as the HR Bill, membership expansion, and professionalization efforts, as well as serving as Public Relations Officer on the Board of the Africa HR Confederation (AHRC) - making her the first Ugandan and one of the first women to represent HR at that continental level.
